Penguin Gentlemen

When venturing to Barnes and Nobles for a last minute gift for my father in January my roommate and I were shocked and disturbed by the state of it, neither of us had been to one since pre-lockdown and seeing just how slimmed down the bookstore had become of actual books was unfortunate. We were worried during our visit that they had even gotten rid of the manga section completely, but were happy and confused to find the manga section in the same section as the music and records. This is where I first found the lovely hardcover manga I am reviewing today, Penguin Gentlemen. I then saw the price and put it back, and bought it for 4$ on Thriftbooks when I got home.

I enjoyed Penguin Gentlemen greatly, though I will give you the disclaimer that if you read this manga for any sort of plot or story you will walk away from it starving, if you are looking for penguin facts and handsome men however... you will be very pleased with this manga. Penguin Gentlemen is a manga about the dapper staff of The Watering Hole, handsome men who are actually penguins here to enjoy the human world, hyjinks ensue. I came here for the lovely art of handsome men and was pleasantly surprised to find the book has a lot of actual penguin facts!

My review of this manga is pretty short as like I mentioned before, there is not much substance. If you enjoy tasty well dressed men and penguins you will find this a pleasant read! Gentoo is my favorite btw ^w^
